I'm not gonna lie here, my day wasn't extremely amazing: I started with an NHS meeting at way-too-early-o'clock, got drenched when going to my car for my backpack, and was totally stressing about my English 12 midterm tomorrow. I studied very hard during jazz band, and when we played the review game in English, I began to feel much more confident, answering about 40% of all the questions correctly.
Unfortunately, lunch came around and I heard some news that really upset me. (I don't think it needs to be blogged about, after all, this blog is something that I want to read back on with happiness...) The news that I heard lingered with me, and almost ate at me as I tried to wrap my head around it. Once I got home, I was tired and frustrated, I had a bit of a breakdown and wanted to just plain out sleep the day away.
However, I had to wake up and go to physical therapy at three. Therefore I got my grumpy butt out of bed around 2:45 and headed out. I really was upset over the smallest of things, and hearing a few teenage girls just sitting and complaining at the physical therapist's made me want to rage. But as I continued my shock therapy and exercises, I began to calm down and just be mellow.
I then got a text from Zach: "I'm at Fox Hollow. I got you some tacos from the Taco Bus." (You see, there is this really good taco bus off of Meridian in South Hill, and I had been craving something like that for a week... And ba-da-bing! Orting now has a Taco Bus! :) ....) Upon completion of therapy, I quickly took my leave and rushed to the Hollow for some delicious authentic mexican grub, thanks to my good ole PIC. Thanks Zach!
At this point, my mood was a bit better, but not exactly 100% since I was going to spend the night babysitting. That was, until I checked my email.
Now, for the past 3 weeks or so, I have been obsessing over receiving things in the postal mail, practically chomping at the bit each time I see the mail person en route to my mailbox. Each of these days, including today, I have been in disappoint.
Now, back to my email. I went to go and check it, expecting the usual: spam, spam, chain letter, generic college recruiting junk, blah blah blah... And there I saw it: an email from the Louisiana State University Office of Admissions! Now, I decided not to get too excited, since they may have just been responding to my former emails checking up on some credit discrepancies... That was, until I looked at the email's subject: Congratulations and Welcome to the LSU Tiger Family! Ahh! I just about screamed!

I don't know if people understand just how much I want to attend this university. As an adventurer, I need this head-first dive into a whole new experience, and what place is better? It is one of the top Architectural schools in the country, and their marching band is amazing! I am so excited to have the opportunity to finally call myself a Tiger.
So here's to the amazing adventure that is on the horizon for me... Please, feel free to be a part of it!
Geaux Tigers!
